France�s cyber command marched in Paris�s legal holiday Parade for the primary time

For the primary time, France�s military cyber command marched during this year�s legal holiday parade on the street in Paris, aboard different units within the nation�s defense force. The military noted that it�s a recognition of the advances that the unit has created since its formation last year, and reinforces that �cyber defense remains a national priority.�

French defense minister Jean-Yves LE Drian proclaimed the formation of COMCYBER in Dec 2016, noting that the emergence of state actors operative in computer network was a brand new thanks to approach warfare. The command brought all of the nation�s troopers targeted on cyber defense underneath one command, with 3 main tasks: cyber intelligence, protection, and offense.
